We had two lovely brunches at piu-ma. The first time, we stopped here while driving from Vienna to Innsbruck, and then our experience was so great we returned on our way back too! Both times, we had excellent plates of breads, spreads, and eggs. Everything was delicious, intricate, and creative. The people working there give so much attention to both the food and their customers. Gmunden's waterfront is beautiful, but be sure not to miss the charming upper streets where the cafe is located. And the artwork they feature on the walls by a local printmaker is also worth scoping out!

Incredible food, best breakfast in Gmunden. Visited twice here during our holidays - the owners are a wonderful couple who made us feel very welcomed. Will be trying to recreate dishes at home - especially the pickled carrots

We went for brunch and had a very nice experience. All indoor tables were reserved, so we sat outside, which was still enjoyable. I had a savoury plate that looked small at first, but it turned out to be quite filling—I stayed full for hours! The lady serving us was friendly and spoke good English. The homemade coconut chia latte tea was delicious. A lovely spot for brunch with great service and tasty food.

During my stay in Gmunden, I visited Piu-Ma three times, which speaks volumes about its charm. My first visit was on a public holiday when, to my dismay, every other café was closed—except Piu-Ma. The cozy atmosphere, paired with a delicious chai latte and lemon cake, instantly recharged me. I couldn’t resist returning to try their coffee and brunch, and just as other visitors in the room recommended, it was truly delicious. What makes it exceptional is the heart and soul poured into it by the owners, who are also incredibly kind and patiently spoke German slowly to greet me as a non-native speaker. I can’t wait to return on my next trip to Austria!

Very nice atmosphere, the owners are very kind and helpful. Also, great vegan options! I ordered the vegan yogurt with granola and fruit and it was filling and delicious!
